Sherly recommended us to go to the Old Post Office, thank God we heard her. It was a wonderful afternoon, we took awesome pictures of Washington. We also went to the National Art Gallery. You won't believe it, we saw a collection by Pablo Picasso and some paitings by Matisse. It's a lifetime opportunity. There was a compositon by Diego Rivera which you cannot explain with words, you have to see it to believe your eyes. I felt a bit troubled because I couldn't share this with Mariana, who would have loved to see all this.
After that, we went to Georgetown. What a beautiful place, how evident it was that it is a classy place. So beautiful shops, cafes, bars, restaurants. Even more, the women in this area were very elegant. Of course everything was very expensive, as it is Palermo in BA, or Chacras in Mza.

Shirley also recommended the Old Post Office to me, and I liked it very much. It's fun to eat there, but every time I have been there the tower has been closed! I will keep trying until I make it to the top.
I am so glad you found the time to visit the National Gallery while you were here (we kept you very busy!). Washington is a city of fabulous museums, most of which are free; it would take a lifetime to do them all justice. I hope you will be able to come back again someday! In the meantime, many of them offer virtual tours on the Internet: see for example http://www.nga.gov/onlinetours/index.shtm. You can have your students visit the National Gallery online and report back to the class about their tour!
Have a great 3 weeks wherever you go--and do join us online when you return to Argentina!
