Friday 31st New York Adventure
I had a very early flight to Detroit and from there I flew to New York. The airport in Detroi was unexpectedly beautiful. I had to change gates to get the next flight and the walk to the next gate was a pleasure. Music and colour mixed up in the corridors so you felt like in paradise.

Hi Miriam,
It's great to see how you kept up your blog throughout your time in the United States. Now you must be back in Argentina, reflecting on all of the things you encountered while you were here. Do you think the experience will change anything about how you teach?
Best wishes and Happy Thanksgiving (it's tomorrow)!
Nothing will be the same after the trip. In fact I'm thinking of the things I'll change for next year. This year I wasn't able to do anything because we arrived at the end of the course and we've just had time to finish it and start with exams which take a whole month up to the 22 of december. This has been really very hard because the time we spent there was like a black hole at the time of going back to the routine. There are so many things that happened while we were there which we ignore, and are essential at the moment of evaluating children.
Hi Miriam, I know exactly what you mean. It is very difficult to miss even a few classes, whereas a whole month--good luck figuring out how to wrap up your assessments!
By the way the Call for Participation for the Electronic Village Online has been released at http://evosessions.pbwiki.com/Call_for_Participation09. If you have the time and interest, I'd strongly recommend enrolling in Becoming a Webhead. I will not be there this year as I am co-moderating a different session and I guess I will have my hands full just doing that! :-) But if you join BaW and give it your best effort, your world will change!
